Hole 9

The ninth hole is a dramatic start to the 3rd paddock of the golf course named Bradfield. Where cows once grazed Bradfield is home to holes 9 to 16.

The elevated tees command a great view of the hole tee to green and the tee shot is played across a deep valley to the hillside beyond. The hole is a very short Par 5 whereby the majority of members will struggle to reach the green in two shots, but the longer hitters once past the drive bunker on the left and the ridge at about 250metres off the tee are rewarded with a modest iron shot into the large green. The green itself is bunkered front left, a bunker short right, and then a large and very deep greenside bunker on the right. The green is receptive in the mid front to reward accurate bump and run type shots in the middle, but a front right mound is placed to deflect any balls away from the green that are offline. Beyond this front portion of the green is a wide and receptive putting surface with a great variety of pin positions from left side behind the bunker right across to a long right pin.
