Hole 16

Following the narrowness of hole 15 comes the long and much wider fairway of hole 16.  This is the last hole in the Bradfield Paddock and a very strong hole in the run to the finish.  From the tees a broad rise in the fairway crossing the hole ensures the main landing area is blind. A good shot will tend to kick forwards on the drive.  With bunkers carefully placed left and right, the large wide and deep green approach invites shots from many angles. The large range of pin positions and the subtle tiers in the green call for a variety of creative approach shots to be successfully close to the pin.  A long hole that rewards good driving and approach shots.  Also, a hole for confident putting as downhill putts will be common and will need to be treated with much care.
