
KGC Board Update
Your new KGC Board had their first meeting on Friday 17th May.
Please see below a summary of the main matters that the Board discussed at the May 2024 meeting:
Board Focus
The Board will be focused on Strategy and oversight, Josh Madden and Josh Whitehouse will be focused on the operations of the Club. Josh Madden’s title to be changed to CEO from GM and the Pro-shop will take over more of Golf Operations allowing Josh Whitehouse to move into an Assistant GM role to provide succession, continuity and operational support.
63 Provincial Road
63 Provincial Road was sold at Auction for $3.95 million. Debentures and Westpac debt is approx. 2.45M. Surplus to be applied to repayment of debt and purchase of new golf carts. We will look to invest the surplus and will consider options in this space. Settlement was 42 days and 10% deposit.
Board Workshop with GBAS
The Board had a workshop on 20 May with GBAS in relation to the proposed survey of members.
There will be two workshops with members shortly and expressions of interest will be called from members who are interested in participating.
The survey is likely to be distributed in late June or July 2024.

Communication to Members
The Board is focused on having regular communication with the Membership using the Club’s website, newsletters, printed copies of communications in Locker Rooms, text messages and push notifications on the app going forward and a summary of Board meetings available on the website.
Course Condition
Current Course Condition was discussed and will be a high priority for the Board going forward working closely with the Grounds Committee.
Clubhouse Project Update
Project design meetings to take place with the Architect every 2 weeks to ensure compliance with the Facilities Brief and Project Plan. The Presentation to Members is still on track for quarter 3 this year.
Finance Update
The Club is looking at rolling the 500K term deposit in 3 months. Board is working towards a plan to generate 2.5M in cash reserves and will communicate this plan to Members. The usable advance was discussed with currently 50K still outstanding from Members with restrictions to follow for Members who have not paid.
